Placencia

Discover our Hidden Gem – The Placencia Peninsula

Placencia is Southern Belize’s Jewel – many would say the “Crown Jewel” – and we call it home. Placencia is a 16 mile strip of land that sits within the protection of the Belize Barrier Reef, beautiful palm fringed beaches, mangrove lined lagoons, and some of the worlds best fly fishing. Our peaceful seaside village is home to only 4000 residents and remains the type of place that strangers wave and say “Hello!” We are blessed with organic vegetables, fresh seafood, and an incredible selection of restaurants where you can eat anything from fresh snapper- Al Fresco to freshly made Italian Gelato.

Our tranquil beach village is blessed with all the facilities you need to make your home. We have over six Supermarkets and three Green Grocers, three major Banks, Gas Stations, Marinas, Pharmacy, Post Office, Police Station, Fire Station, Dentist, Attorneys, Cellular Phone Providers, Cable TV Provider and High speed Internet.

Placencia is serviced by a Municipal Airport located a short 25 minute flight from Belize City on either Tropic or Maya Island Air. Being a peninsula means we are still attached to the mainland by a beautiful tarred road that connects to the Southern Highway. This allows us quick access to Jungle Adventures, Mayan Ruins, and the entire country of Belize.

Placencia has been targeted by the government for limited development to ensure a healthy balance between conserving the peninsula and responsible economic development for the people of Belize. Real Estate activity is on the rise with a limited amount of land and a growing demand. We will see real estate activity and prices increase dramatically and are proud to be the best value for money in the Caribbean. Destinations like Cayman, Turks and Caicos, USVI, British Virgin Island, and Barbados are offering similar real estate for two to three times the price.

If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a tropical lifestyle in a friendly small seaside town environment, the Placencia peninsula would make a great home.
